Chad Benson doesn’t look or sound like a typical talk radio host. And that’s a GREAT thing. Conversational, informative, irreverent and very FUNNY. Chad’s take on the issues offers a refreshing sound that gives talk listeners the hard news and opinion that they need in a thoughtful, entertaining way that they CRAVE.

[Inside Radio – Talking the Talk Right Means More than Just Politics]

At 44, Chad is part of a New Generation of talk hosts that is able to connect with talk’s existing demo while bringing new and younger listeners into the format. Chad is an accomplished talk show host boasting over 22 years experience in the entertainment industry. He started in music radio in the 1990s at the legendary KRTH in Los Angeles as the Executive Producer of the Robert W. Morgan Show and has also been featured on Los Angeles radio stations such as KZLA-FM and KNCI-FM and KWOD-FM in Sacramento. Chad has also honed his skills as a voice artist for several Hollywood productions and has been the voice of several cartoon characters.

[Inside Radio – Syndication’s Next Generation: Chad Benson]

Chad’s sense of showmanship and entertainment, developed from years in music radio, has had a huge influence on him as a talk host, which is where his true passion lies. Using this creativity from the music side of the business, Chad honed his talk skills at Talk Radio UK as one of the first commercial talk hosts to take on the mighty BBC, boasting over a quarter million listeners per week. With success and experience abroad, Chad returned to the U.S. and hosted programs in Palm Springs at K-NEWS-FM and in San Antonio at KTSA-AM. “Chad Benson is not the usual talk host. His entertaining style, and passion for talk radio, helped develop him into a great talent.  He’s not afraid to go places the average talk host will not tread.  Very unique!”, says Greg Martin, Operations Manager / Program Director, Alpha Media San Antonio.

[All Access: 10 Questions with Chad Benson]

In his early years, fresh out of school, Chad left everything he knew at home in Southern California to play professional soccer in Europe and was talented enough to be signed onto the rosters of several teams including the Bristol Rovers, the Fallkirk Scotland and the Portsmouth Football Club.

Chad has a son named Jack, who has changed his world.

The American Family Farmer Show is the weekly voice for small, independent farm owners, as well hobby farmers and all of those interested in eating natural foods that make as few stops as possible from the farm to the table.

The weekly program is packed with information and advocacy for the beleaguered family farmer, as well as those who support these farmers and the food that they produce, as an alternative to the  processed food options that occupy most grocery stores.

American Family Farmer is hosted by Doug Stephan, lifelong broadcaster and a dedicated lifelong family farmer! Stephan is the owner/operator of several dairy farms in the Boston suburb of Framingham, MA under the umbrella of Eastleigh Farm.

“I have been around cows all my life,” said Stephan. “I spent all my free time around the animals as a young boy.” Stephan continues, “I have become more involved on a wider scale, to the point now where I have several hundred Jersey dairy cows, which provide us with the raw milk we sell, along with cheeses, ice cream and various other diary-related products that have meaning to those in the locavore movement [people who choose to eat food locally grown and raised].” Stephan is a tell-it-like-it is advocate for the political and economic interests of the farmers this program is designed to serve.

American Family Farmer is a targeted revenue generator for stations, geared to a wide variety of advertisers specifically interested in reaching the farming community and the growing natural foods market.

Now in its eighth year, Animals Today covers all things related to animals worldwide, with an emphasis on their welfare.

Different than other animal programs whose focus is solely on pets, Animals Today covers and explores the wide range of topics and issues concerning all animals, including animals in agriculture and in the wild, while promoting increased respect, compassion and kindness toward them. Lori, along with husband and Producer Dr. Peter Spiegel, interview animal protectors and rescuers, legislators and lawyers, and filmmakers and authors from around the globe about the latest animal topics and issues. Commentary, news and more lighthearted features round out this fast-paced and thought-provoking show.

Recent segments have focused on such diverse subjects such as the dangers wind farms pose to eagles, shark conservation efforts, language and communication research in non-human animals, and marijuana for pets.

A few of Animals Today’s noteworthy guests have included Bob Barker, author Dean Koontz, Actress Tippi Hedren, US Representative Tom Marino, CA Assembly member Richard Bloom, award-winning independent journalist Will Potter, and President, Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine, Dr. Neal Barnard. Lori and Peter have covered The Best Friends Animal Society National Conference, the FARM animal rights conference, toured the Born Free USA Primate Sanctuary, and have broadcast from other events and locations of interest.

Praise for Animals Today:

“I thank you so much for this show, Lori, you’re a shining light out there – this is spectacularly good and I really appreciate it. The Humane Society of the United States admires you so much in your work, and thanks you.” Dr. John Grandy, Senior VP for Wildlife and Habitat Protection, HSUS.

“I want to thank you for what you do, it’s a pleasure for me to be on your program, and I’m really glad we can get behind something as positive as this bill…” Congressman Dutch Ruppersberger, speaking about pet devocalization ban legislation.

“Lori and Peter, I am a big fan of Animals Today and deeply appreciate your work to cover the important issues concerning the treatment of animals in all sorts of venues all around the world. Anyone who cares about animals should listen to Animals Today.” Marc Bekoff, author and Professor Emeritus, University of Colorado.

Who is this Bill Martinez?  And what does he bring to talk radio?  Fair questions. In addition to the obvious Hispanic relationship, Bill has risen from a proven and award-winning broadcast and marketing background that includes major market radio and TV experience from programming to on-air personality, to sales marketing and station management.

It’s this breadth of experience that uniquely positions Bill Martinez as the voice of everyman wanting to realize an unfulfilled dream.  “I believe this is why we’re grateful to be an American or are hoping to become a proud citizen of our exceptional country.  America is the place where dreams are realized.  It’s the fulfillment of that extraordinary God-given potential for everyman that gets me up
each morning,” says Bill.

“I really believe our desire to do great things overwhelms a languishing economy or weak leadership. Our history is filled with exceptional testimonials of how American industry, individually and corporately overwhelmed the odds and were successful in spite of the circumstances.  Maybe, for a season, too many have succumbed to the lure of a source outside themselves that can do it for them.
Deep down, we know the truth.”  And it’s that truth that is resonating in the hearts of everyman who engages Bill Martinez Live.

“Our show is about advancing the greater cause for our country and every American Citizen by empowering our listeners with truth and knowledge that will effect the real change we all believe in, in ourselves, our families, neighborhoods, country and world.  This may sound grand, but why not?  It’s time for America to Dream even bigger dreams.
