Make the Houthis Terrorists Again, NPR Embraces Leftist Label, Biden's Latest Lies

Join Jim and Greg as they sound off on some good news out of the House of Representatives and some really crazy news about taxpayer-funded media and President Biden's latest whoppers.

First, they're glad to see a big bipartisan majority in the House of Representatives vote to declare the Iran-backed Houthis to be a "Foreign Terrorist Organization" again. If the Senate also passes it, Jim and Greg hope Biden will the sign the bill and not stubbornly stick to his decision to reverse President Trump designation of the Houthis as a Foreign Terrorist Organization.

Then, they wince as National Public Radio (NPR) basically forces longtime editor Uri Berliner out after he publicly scolded NPR for engaging in partisan politics by stifling stories like the Hunter Biden laptop and the origins of COVID while reporting Rep. Adam Schiff's version of the Trump-Russia investigation as the truth. Instead, leaders there are proving most of Berliner's accusations true and embracing leftist narratives. They also recoil at a TED Talk that new NPR CEO Katherine Maher delivered about how we all have our own truths and that building consensus is more important than pursuing truth.

Finally, they groan as President Biden repeatedly tells the thoroughly disproven story of his uncle allegedly getting by cannibals in New Guinea during World War II. And Biden also claims he told Israel not to go into Haifa - which is an Israeli city. But Jim says the statement is also very  problematic on another level.

GOP Ousting Another Speaker? The Left's WNBA Pay Grievance, Can't Say 'Illegal Alien'

Hillsdale College Radio General Manager and Radio Free Hillsdale Hour Host Scot Bertram is in for Jim. Today, Scot and Greg serve up three crazy martinis ranging from Capitol Hill to women's sports to the high school classroom.

First, they sigh as some House Republicans vow to move forward on trying to remove House Speaker Mike Johnson over his handling of the House agenda - and what his critics call passing the Democrats' agenda. There are valid criticisms of Johnson's decisions, positions, and priorities on some issues, but what would removing another Speaker of the House accomplish now, when Republicans have an even smaller majority than they did when Johnson was elected?

Next, they roll their eyes as President Biden and others on the left try to pander to women by demanding WNBA players get equal pay with the men in the NBA. Of course the big wage disparity has nothing to do with the sex of the players but whether their league is profitable. The NBA makes billions of dollars each year. The WNBA has lost money for its entire existence.

Finally, they highlight the case of a North Carolina high school student who was suspended for three days for asking his teacher whether the word "alien" in his vocabulary lesson referred to space aliens or people who come into the U.S. with no green cards.

Florida vs. Traffic-Blocking Protesters, Dems Meddling in GOP Primaries, Trump Judge's 'Unforced Error'

Join Jim and Greg as they discuss the right approach towards anti-Israel protesters blocking traffic. Plus, they take on Dems trying to nominate unelectable Republicans again and the New York judge who may refuse to let Donald Trump attend his son's graduation.

First, they fume over pro-Palestinian (often overtly pro-Hamas) demonstrators shutting down traffic on the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco, the Brooklyn Bridge in New York City, and the roads leading to O'Hare International Airport in Chicago. But they also highlight how Florida officials quickly thwarted similar disruptions in and around Miami.

Next, they raise warmings that Democrats are once again trying to meddle in Republican primaries by purporting to campaign on behalf of candidates that the activists on the left think will be easier to defeat in the general election. The latest mischief is happening in a House swing district in Pennsylvania.

Finally, they shake their heads as the judge in Donald Trump's New York City hush money trial says that Trump will be arrested if he misses any days in court. He also would not commit to allowing Trump to attend his son's high school graduation next month.

Iran Attacks Israel: Far Beyond a Symbolic Strike, Great Missile Defense, Biden Opposes Israeli Response

Iran attacked Israel over the weekend, and Jim and Greg break down the good, bad, and crazy elements of this huge story.

First, they reject the notion that this was a largely symbolic attack from Iran - supposedly because everyone knew Iran's weapons would not get past the missile defense capabilities in the region. But Jim points out that you don't send hundreds of missiles and hundreds of drones if your effort is symbolic. They also chafe at reports that Biden (through Turkish intermediaries) told Iran to keep any attacks "within certain limits." And they point out that Iran once again rejected Biden's feeble insistence of "don't" when asked about Iranian aggression.

Next, they cheer the excellence of execution by the U.S., Great Britain, Israel, Jordan, and even Saudi Arabia in thwarting the Iranian attack with missile defense and other collaboration. And they take a moment to give credit to the man who insisted on pursuing missile defense more than 40 years ago despite the derision of Democrats and the media - President Ronald Reagan.

Finally, they groan as Biden tells Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu not to respond against Iran because the missile defense operation resulted in "a win" for Israel. That's not how this works.

Fixing the Cost of College: Make Schools Back up Loans, GOP Needs a Plan, The Enrollment Cliff

President Biden is once again touting his unconstitutional efforts to transfer the student loan debt from those who took out the loans to the taxpayers who did not. It's not just illegal, it's immoral. And there are much better ways to address the problem. Today, Jim and Greg examine three different areas worthy of much more attention.

First, they cheer Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis for arguing that colleges and universities should back up the cost of student loans if their graduates are not able to find jobs with high enough salaries to pay them back. He says it's not only right because the schools benefit immensely from student loans but it would also force schools to focus on subjects in which their students can find good jobs.

Next, they also welcome their friend Inez Stepman's idea of taxing the endowments of colleges and universities, instead of allowing schools to treat them like hedge funds. Beyond that, they implore Republicans to come up with a coherent message other than opposition to what Biden is doing. Americans are furious about Biden's shifting of this debt onto the rest of taxpayers, but without an actual plan to address the problem, Republicans are not doing taxpayers or themselves any favors.

Finally, they note the coming higher education "enrollment cliff," as the number of high school graduates is expected to drop considerably in the next few years. Will that refocus the priorities of these universities? And how will greater interest in trade schools impact all of this?
